THE TOWER IS ON THE WAY, WORK AT AAER CONTNUES AND THE FINAL SCHEDULE IS BEING SET - Weeks of December 15, 2008 through Janauary 5, 2009.

Work continued on finalizing the Interconnect Agreement with National Grid (NGRID). There are few NGRID items that will be completed in the next two weeks. The turbine blades are complete and are due to be on the road next week. The tower sections are on the road (see photo). The tower sections are due to arrive at Quonset the last week in January and will be barged over to the Hinkley Shipyard in Portsmouth. The final part, the main turbine nacelle, is being completed at the AAER plant in Canada. It is due to be trucked from Canada to Quonset the first week in February to be barged to Portsmouth. The WTG assemply and erection on the High School Hill is expected to be accomplished the second week in February with power generation started shortly thereafter.
