CIVIL ENGINEERING AND ELECTRICAL WORK CONTINUES - Week of September 22, 2008

Laying and compacting of stone was commenced as the base for the access road and crane pad. The remaining sections of the grounding grid were welded together. The small transformer providing service to the tennis court lights was also installed (this was completed during daylight hours that prevented the need to interrupt service to the courts at night). Redesign of the re-closure mechanism has been completed to comply with National Grid's requirements for relay redundancy.
